Apparently people don't like to work unless you threaten to bludgeon their heads in with the nearest light box. Who knew it would be so difficult to get 7 people to do a bit of animating? Alright, so most of us were in New York last week, but I made sure everything was ready for when we got back. I left explicit instructions for the few people left in Southampton. All we had to do was finish backgrounds and start animating.

People only started animating today. Karen and I were actually the first to even start animating, and that was just before we even went to New York!

One guy claimed he didn't have the sound files he needed, even though I had given them to him to do the dope sheets with a couple of weeks ago and e-mailed them to him with the thumbnails of the shots he was supposed to animate. After e-mailing them to him again he still seemed to screw up which parts he was supposed to be animating even though everyone had been there to discuss which shot belonged to who two weeks ago! He also claimed that I had the dope sheets he needed (which I didn't) which I had also asked people whether they needed them or not before we left for New York.

One girl I asked if she had done any work while we away, she replied "yes". When I then specified had she done any animation she answered "no". About half an hour in I noticed no one was still animating and told them to get to work. They said we needed to discuss walk cycles and beak movements. I growled at them because we had already discussed it at our last meeting!

Apparently being a Director means leading them by the hand then slapping them silly until they do some work! I wouldn't mind, but we've got less than two weeks! And even if we don't have time to colour everything, I'd like some nice line work to go in there instead.

The same guy as earlier then had the nerve to grab my shoulders from behind and say, "Don't worry so much!"

Congratulate me. I resisted the urge to punch him in the gut. Physical contact when I'm pissed is never a good idea. And all the tutors were looking at me so sympathetically

Urgh!

*end rant*
